I went with a small group of other photographers to an underground fashion show. It was a lot of fun to go to an event with a group of people. There were a lot of photographers at this event and we all had fun taking pictures together and chatting with one another.

There was a DJ booth right behind the main stage and some people were vibing to the music while waiting for the show to start.

Very challenging conditions to shoot in! Low light, models moving very quickly.

I still stubbornly tried to take shots wide open while the models were posing.

This event was part of the monthly Pioneer Square Art Walks. It was my first time attending and I’m glad I went! I wish I had checked these out sooner. I’ve gotten into a habit after work of always staying home, and it’s been detrimental to my mental health. So I’m glad I made an effort to go out into the city with people on a weekday night. I was surprised at how large the art walk was, there were lots of stores and people walking in and out of them; groups of people spilling onto the sidewalks to chat. Lots of people wearing cool and interesting things. Later when I was posting about it on instagram a friend reached out and said she was also there, unfortunately we didn’t run into each other. Oh well, there’s always next month!
